No Login Prompt

We occasionally receive questions from users who are not allowed to enter their username and password.  This seems to be especially prevalent when a newer version of Microsoft Internet Explorer is used.
This problem is not caused by our procedures, but by your browser. An inability to reach the user sign in display is created by a setting in Microsoft Internet Explorer.
To correct this situation choose under "Tools"

Security
Internet
Custom Level: the User
Authentication
Logon choice must be set to "Prompt for user name and password", and not "Anonymous logon".
