Privacy Policy
Overview: Webtorials provides promotional and consumer information regarding various information technology products and services via its web site and related web pages located at www.Webtorials.com ("Web Site") and through email & interactive sessions. Webtorials is committed to protecting the privacy of its users. To demonstrate this commitment, Webtorials has created this privacy policy (the "Privacy Policy") governing Webtorials' use of the information that is collected through the Web Site and any interactive sessions you participate in. By accessing and viewing the Web Site or participating in an interactive session, you agree to the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy. In order to access certain portions of the Web Site you will be required to register by providing certain limited information regarding you and the company you represent.
Webtorials exists because of a simple equation. Users get excellent information without charge. Sponsors get their message out, and they receive information concerning potential customers.
The model for Webtorials is a trade show or seminar; we present the same type of information in a web-based format. You can't go to a trade show without registering. You can't get to the information at Webtorials without registering. And in order to let users know about new presentations and papers at Webtorials, your email is the most important part of the registration information.
We view this, using the analogy above of an on-line trade show, as the same as swiping your badge at a show. Free information is traded for contact information.
If users do not want sponsors to have their contact information, the solution is simple. Don't use the site. We feel that this trade of free technical information for usage and contact information is entirely fair and reasonable.
