Managed Integrated Services
Now More Than Ever
Webtorials Editorial/Analyst Division
Posted November 2008
Abstract:
In this on-demand webcast conversation, Steven Taylor and Jim Metzler, cofounders of the Webtorials Analyst/Consulting Division, joined by Joel Conover of Cisco, look at the convergence of two major networking capabilities - the use of managed services and the use of multifunction access devices on the customer premises.
After a quick overview of each of the
above, the discussion turns why it makes sense now more than ever to use
"selective sourcing" to take advantage of both of these capabilities where they
make sense. The conversation is augmented by a preview of some in-progress
research on trends in the industry for the coming year, confirming that the use
of this powerful combination may well be the key to survival - and even success
- in a period of economic uncertainty.
