2007 Wireless LAN State-of-the-Market Report

Abstract:
 

In June 2007, Kubernan surveyed the Webtorials subscriber base for the fourth consecutive year concerning WLAN deployment plans, attitudes, and experiences. This report is a summary and analysis of those findings.

 

Summary findings include:

bullet

Wi-Fi infrastructures are widely deployed, but comparatively few employees have Wi-Fi access.

bullet

Newer Wi-Fi architectures haven’t hit user radars yet.

bullet

Voice over Wi-Fi plans are all over the map.

bullet

Enterprises will wait for 802.11n final standards before deploying it.
